Created within the ‘Self/Other’ Photography and Moving Image Remote Study workshop showcases an accurate to depiction of myself within a self portrait manner of how I have been feeling within recent weeks, comprehending with the inability to sleep as well as my lack of consumption of food. Pictured on the bed fully clothed it showcases the idea that one never rests, representing my inability to give myself a break and how by not giving myself a break lead me to become delusional due to my lack sleep, leading numerous tears were shed due to the 14 hour days I have been working without a break. The piece represents of finishing point where I have learnt to realise that ‘self care’ and ‘me time’ is very important, the work addresses the numerous amount of times people like my Father, Archie and an array of others have told to have a break. Now have finally listened to there advice and now partake in these very important actions. The poetry written down the side of the image was a piece of writing I proposed together when I was not within the best headspace extremely tired and rundown due to my lack of energy because I have not eaten. The writing was created after a conversation I had with my father about my inconsistent sleeping pattern and how I have been feeling mentally, something I have never indulged in the topic of Conversation with him before.

The work has been processed through my scanner by digitally presenting the image and then placinf my poem into the side of the document. experimenting with the restoration of the image scanning it in within 150 DPI.

The work inhabits the costume, location and props imagery taken.
